San Juan Backcountry has chosen out two areas in the San Juan Mountains to have Dinner Tours: Mineral Creek Basin or Eureka Gulch.
Your first option is the Basin of Mineral Creek. This is one of the most beautiful spots with low elevation. You are in a valley covered with mountains. This is where a lot of artists go to do paintings.
The second location is Eureka Gulch. Eureka has a elevation of approximately 10,000 feet. This location has a mine you can explore and a hiking trail you can explore as well. The tour going up to either location, you will see mountain streams, wildflowers and hopefully wildlife. Both locations are breathtaking. You choose!
The dinner tour will be approximately three hours. The dinner tour will include your tour in one of our open top suburban or jeeps with a tour guide that will give you pieces of history along the way as well as you will see some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Your meal will be ready and waiting. The campfire will be going, the coffee will be ready – waiting for you to come and enjoy, just like the scenery. Explore the area and enjoy a wonderful meal, and sing around the campfire.
You might even want to pitch a few horseshoes, play games or hike some -- It is up to you. No harm in just sitting in front of the campfire and just enjoying the moment. After finishing then the tour guide will bring you back to San Juan Backcountry’s office which is located at 1119 Greene Street in Silverton. |
